Catalonian Thermal Spa Association is an entity that brings together the majority of renowed Catalan thermal spas.
Three basic elements come together in the thermal spas.
Medicinal waters declared of public utility.- The appropriate facilities for the application of the prescribed thermal treatments.
- A medical and auxiliary team that directs the most appropriate use of these means according to each patient.
Thermal spas are specialized centers that use water for recovery, rehabilitation, relief, prevention, improvement and care of the person's comprehensive health. They do all this by complementing it with other therapies. It is about preventing illness, relieving physical ailments and preserving and calming health.
Our Spas are sites that have mineral-medicinal waters declared of public utility. They have facilities close to the spring where ailments are treated both by ingesting the water and through different types of treatments.
They are made up of personal treatment, leisure programs, cultural and physical activities, in a natural, healthy and pleasant environment.
Care in a spa has two fundamental aspects.
- Health promotion consists of producing a state of mental and physical recovery that prevents and/or reduces disease states, positively influencing the person's health education, thus being a factor in the prevention of diseases or ailments.
- Depending on the length of stay in the spas, care or improvement of the evolution of chronic pathological processes is sought.
